Get creative

woman doing exercise routine

You only have 30 minutes to fit a workout into your day?  Your job is to see if you can make those 30 minutes produce the most results possible

Think outside the box

So often we spend time complaining about the things that are withheld from us.

“I don’t have enough time to work out.”

“I don’t have enough money to start a business.”

“I can’t eat this food on my diet.”

But constraints are not the enemy.

We all have a limited tool kit of resources

Everyone has a limited set of tools to work with, including families

Every athlete begins with a limited set of skills to train with. Every entrepreneur has a limited number of resources to build with.

The trick is figuring out how to work with your constraints.

I recently read a story about how Dr. Suess came about writing one of his all-time best selling children’s books

Dr. Seuss was given a bet of $50 by his book publisher that he could not write a book using only 50 words. He went to his studio & for 12 months worked on this, what emerged was the Best-selling book Green eggs & ham.

You might be asking what this has to do with you & your family.

You and I are given similar constraints in our lives.

You only have 30 minutes to fit a workout into your day?  Your job is to see if you can make those 30 minutes produce the most results possible

You can only spare 15 minutes each day to do something you love. Make it count.

You only have $100 to start a business? Great.  Your job is to be creative.

You can only eat whole foods on your diet?  Your job is to take those ingredients and make each meal memorable.

There are a lot of people who would complain about having to raise a family or live with constraints. But what if we decided to take the tools we have available and get creative instead.

We all have constraints in our lives. The limitations just determine what you have to work with.

So take a Deep Breathe and look at your resources.
