Why starting is the hardest part

Coaching not training

Being a coach is different than being a trainer. A coach will still do some of the same activities as a trainer but takes it many steps further and acts as a guiding light to help clients attain a better life beyond just fitness.

Any personal trainer can piece together workouts to hand to clients but unless there is a plan and a desired outcome achieving success can be hit & miss.

Tailored progressive programs

I believe in developing specialized programs for our families and the individuals within delivers the best results for our goals.

Tailored, progressive & functional programs with workouts & exercises that give the most bang for your buck is what we are looking to achieve.

It shouldn’t be seen as a negative to ask for help, considering we hire gardeners to keep the roses beautiful, housekeepers to clean our home, and babysitters for date night.

Why shouldn’t we gain professional help for our families health & fitness.

Everyone needs help at some point

Children especially have a lot going on and this year has highlighted this in many ways, being stuck at home for longer periods, more screen time, less movement.

My family has been through these ups & downs and are still finding our feet in a new state having moved recently.

Going right into the lockdown took away gym time and trips to the park, team sport etc, which made exercise tricky to achieve on a consistent basis.

I lost the routine I was previously in which affected me physically & mentally, it took a while to regain a sense of a new routine and get moving again.

This was the same for my kids, too much gaming, team sports not on, lost routine and we all felt sluggish & out of sorts.

I was inconsistent and motivation dropped which meant this also affected my family as I wasn’t being the best version of me I could be.

Get creative

What did I do – I got in contact with another Personal trainer mate who had just started filming his own workouts for clients affected by the lockdowns. I signed up, paid his subscription and had access to his you tube library both live & on-demand.

This gave me the exercises & workouts I needed and I got the kids involved jumping, lunging, squatting along with me, but because I signed up as a paying client I had my dollars invested and didn’t want to waste the resource I had access too so the motivation to move & exercise started returning.

Even trainers & coaches need assistance & coaching at times, it helps with accountability and continued learning.

We are always learning & growing, evolve & adapt into the healthy & fit family you know you want to be.

Be accountable. Get a coach.
